About our Centre

As a part of the Capricorn Coast, Yeppoon is a coastal town priding itself on being the gateway to the Keppel Islands on the southern end of the Great Barrier Reef. The service’s location is only a four minute drive to soak up the beautiful tourist attractions such as, the large lagoon, ‘Keppel Kraken’ water park, children’s skate park and large BBQ and playground near the main beach.

 

Our centre is situated in a popular neighbourhood and is close to schools, convenience stores, services and sporting complexes such as swimming and tennis clubs.

The ages of the service’s seven rooms provide for children from birth to 5 years old. Each environment is inclusive to every child and provides developmentally suitable resources and facilities. Throughout the service, our spaces encompass natural elements such as small to large trees, grassed areas, garden beds, rocks and sandpits all of which are used to explore and create.

 

Children are provided with the right and opportunity to portray their own voice to thrive and build on their strengths whilst child-centred learning, interests and capabilities of children is consistently reflected in our educational program and practice. Our service aims to provide a high level of care and education for children in a warm, nurturing, and safe environment supported by trusting and collaborative relationships with families, children and the community.

Our Team

Our team of long standing staff have shared many significant milestones with our children and families, some of which have been with the service from the Nursery room through to the Kindergarten room. New members joining the team are inspired to present fresh concepts which encourages our service to continually strive for excellence. Our talented team of 22 plus are sourced and developed to model practices and values which demonstrate the company’s vision and continually adjust and customise their interactions and educational practices for differing ages, abilities and build on knowledge of each child through sustaining unique and reciprocal relationships.

Each one of our staff display and maintain respectful and meaningful connections with children, families, community and their colleagues. Staff members are encouraged to contribute to quality improvement processes through critical assessments based on professional standards and ethical principles. Our team regularly participate in professional development opportunities and training relevant to the industry.

Kindergarten Program

Our centre offers both a government approved kindergarten program run by a teacher and long day care, all under the one roof. Our kindergarten teachers are university qualified and provide a play-based learning program that will support your child in learning the skills for school and life.

Child Care Subsidy (CCS)

Child Care Subsidy (CCS) is a Government payment to help eligible families who use approved and registered child care, such as all Global Sky Education centres. CCS payments help eligible families reduce their weekly payments and can also help make child care more affordable for families.
